The number of devices working with Waiter simultaneously is limited by the number of active licenses for a given object in the Licensing System.
Each new connected device takes away a free active license. When you connect another device in excess of the licenses, it will take the license from the already working device (the “oldest” one by activation time), since there will be no free licenses left. In this case, the device from which the license was taken will stop working and a message will appear on it: “The license has been transferred to another device. To continue working on this device, select the "Reactivate app" operation in the settings".
To resume your work on this device, select the Reactivate app operation in the Settings > Licensing menu. This operation will connect an active license to this device, taking it away from the next working device that stops working.
If the number of connected devices is equal to or less than the number of active licenses for this object then reactivation of the app will not be required.
Reactivation of the app may be required in the following cases:
The number of app activations per day is limited. When the limit is reached, the following message will appear: “The limit of connections per day has been reached. Less than a day has passed since the last activation. The application will be available in 24 hours." and the device may only be activated the next day.
The following actions are considered to be the App Activation:
1. Device connection (1 activation)
2. App Reactivation (1 activation)
3. Reinstalling the application (uninstalled and reinstalled) (1 activation)
4. Reconnecting the app (e.g. updated settings: either via QR or manually) (1 activation)
5. Removing licenses from the LS and re-generation (n activations: the number depends on how many apps will be reactivated, because after deleting all licenses all the apps will stop working).
The number of purchased licenses for an object may not match the number of activated ones. Therefore, in case of licenses connecting problems, check whether all purchased licenses are activated. |
