To display dishes on the kiosk screen, it is necessary to create a menu tree consisting of a start page, which will include menu groups with nested pages and dishes.
The Menu Tree directory is located in the r_keeper manager.
All menu groups that should be available for selection by the guest are added to the Menu Tree directory.
Groups and subgroups of menu items in the Menu Tree are created as selector pages.
All selector pages must be on a single level—the first one. Including the preset selector page Initial Selection.
To create a hierarchical menu structure, pages of the next level are nested within pages of the previous level.
For instance, if the menu group Main Courses contains subgroups Soups and Salads, then the selector pages for Soups and Salads should be embedded in the selector page for Main Courses.
Menu items for the Menu Tree are created in the Menu directory and then selected onto the necessary selector pages as selector buttons.
Selector buttons are the names of selectors or menu items embedded in the selector page (i.e., these are the names of groups of menu items or items that will be available to the guest for choosing).
With standard settings, the Menu Tree has a maximum three-level structure, and dishes are placed only on the second level of selectors.
To build a three-level Menu Tree structure, you need to do the following:
