Hall Plans

In the directory of Hall Plans and Tables, restaurant halls are created where tables and rated devices (billiard tables, bowling alleys, etc.) are added.

The root nodes in the tree structure of the Hall Plans and Tables directory are restaurants, within which hall plans are created. In the graphic editor, it is possible to create a visual model of the hall plan, which will be available at the cash register.
The properties of the hall include the following groups:

Creating a new hall plan

To add a new Hall Plan, select the restaurant from context menu choose "New Hall Plan."

Fill out main properties: name of the hall plan, status.

Properties of the hall plan contain the following groups:

Main
Code – unique code of the directory element in the system. It is assigned automatically but can be changed manually;
Name – name of the directory element;
Alt. Name – alternative language name of the directory element;
Status – status of the directory element;
Hall Plan – clicking on this button opens the graphical editor of the hall;

Restrictions
Right Level – selection of access right to trade object that an employee of the cash register must have so that the described object would be accessible for him to select;
Serving Position – service position associated with the hall. Display of service positions in the cash application depends on the coloration of the station.

Visual Type
Background Color – background color of the hall plan button. The color can be selected from the list or from the palette called up by double-clicking left mouse button in the property value area;
Arrange style – mutual arrangement of image and text;
Image – selecting an image for the hall plan button;
Text color – text color. The color can be chosen from the list or from the palette invoked by double-clicking the left mouse button in the property value field.
Touch Zone Color – color of the area appearing on screen when choosing table from hall plan if no service position has been defined for them or if no color has been specified for the service position. 

If several hall plans have been added for the restaurant, each cash register may be conveniently assigned a default plan that will open automatically upon order creation. To do this, in the Cash Stations and Devices dictionary (Service - Cash Stations and Devices), select the desired cash register, specify Default Hall Plan in its properties.

Tables

The Tables page contains a list of tables belonging to the selected hall.
To add a new table, select the hall plan, then from the context menu on the 'Tables' tab choose 'New Table'.

Fill out main properties: table name (use no more than 10 characters), status, maximum number of guests.

Table Properties contain the following groups:

Main
Button Number – button number for calling waiter;
Pager Message – paging message number sent to waiter; 

Order
Maximum Guests – maximum number of guests who can sit at this table. The value specified here appears in parentheses after the table name when selecting it. If an entered guest quantity exceeds this limit, a warning will appear, though creating such order remains possible;

Restrictions
Object Privilege – access right required by employee to edit object via Manager Station.
Serving Position – service position assigned to selected table;

Visual Type
Background Color – background color of table button on cash register.
Zone press color on hall layout may depend on Serving Position's color.
Arrange Style – relative placement of image and text;
Image – selection of image for object;
Text Color – text color. It can either be chosen from predefined list or palette which opens upon double left-click within property’s value area.

Properties Image, Arrange Style, Text Color are applied to Hall Layout depending on whether Syncronize option is enabled in Table Properties inside Hall Plan Editor.

Display of table name depends on the setting Name Button Format for Table parameter (Format used to display table name in "Create Order" window: %0:s - table name, %1:d - free seats available, %2:d - total places at table). 

Basic
Allow reservation – used for external reservation systems.
Table Type – type of table selection;
Dispenser – dispensing device associated with this table;
Mode of use a table:

Usual Table – regular usage mode;
Banquet Table – for banquet orders form (until version RK 7.5.6, later removed); 
Delayed Orders Table – working with delayed orders in Quick Receipt mode.

Attributes
These properties appear if Attributes for Tables Dictionary has been filled.

Mass Creation of Tables

If there is a need to create a large number of tables at once, it can be done using the Create Tables in mass function. To do this:

  1. Click on the required Hall Plan and through the context menu select Actions > Create Tables in mass...
  2. In the opened window specify:
  3. Click Ok button.

Done. The tables will be massively created following the given rules.

Rated Devices

Rated devices are used for work with billable services such as billiards, bowling, etc.

To add a new rated device, highlight the hall plan, go to the "Rated Devices" tab, and from the context menu select "New Rated Device."

Fill out the main properties: name of the rated device, status, tariff, and maximum guest capacity.

Properties of a rated device contain several groups:



Main

Code – a unique element code within the system directory. It is assigned automatically but can also be manually changed;
Name – name of the directory entry;
Alt. Name – alternative language name of the element;
Status – status of the directory entry;

Order
Maximum Guests – maximum number of guests for this particular rated device;

Restrictions
Serving Position – service position of the billing device;

Visual Type
Background Color – color of the button. Can be selected either from a predefined list or palette called up via double-clicking with left mouse button in the property value area;
Arrange Style – mutual arrangement of image and text;
Image – selection of an image for the object;
Text Color – color of the text. Can be chosen either from a predetermined list or palette accessed by double-clicking with left mouse button in the property value area;

Basic
Allow reservation – used for external reservation systems (separate application);
Dispenser – dispensing device associated with this table;
Lane – lane number (for integration with external systems for bowling purposes);
Rater Device – actual device for working with tariffs (turning lights above pool table on/off);

For adding a device to the list:
1. Add UCS Ethernet Rater interface for Windows or UCS Ethernet Rater DOS page to Cash Register Server Devices section (Cash Stations & Devices Directory). 
2. In Interfaces Directory, add a new interface, selecting appropriate device for cash register server under Library Files (DLL) group properties (either UCS Ethernet Rater for Windows or UCS Ethernet Rater DOS);

Max. Device Time – maximum usage time of the device per single order;
Interval – interval between consecutive activations;
Shut Down – automatic shutdown upon exceeding maximum usage time limit. If unchecked, the device remains active even after reaching the limit;
Table Type – type of rated device’s table;
Tariff – device tariff;
Use as Table – rated device can be utilized as regular table (when creating orders).

Graphic Layout of Hall Plan

In the properties of the hall plan, it is possible to create its graphic layout for work at the cash register. To do this, click on the button in the property "Hall Plan".

The window for editing the graphic layout of the hall plan will open.

At the top are displayed all tables and rated devices created for this hall plan.

Edit the properties of the hall plan layout.

Layout
Height - height of the layout in pixels;
Horizontal Align - horizontal position of the layout on the cash register;
Vertical Align - vertical position of the layout on the cash register;
Width - width of the layout in pixels.

Appearance
Color - background color of the layout;
Image - an image can be uploaded as a background in bmp format:

  1. Open the image upload window by clicking the button ;
  2. Click Upload and select the image to upload;
  3. Click OK to save changes, Cancel - to exit without saving.

To add tables to the layout, drag them onto the baseplate in the order they are located in the actual hall. To do this, press the table icon and then the place on the layout. The position of the table can be changed by dragging it with the cursor.
To delete a table, select the "Delete" option from the context menu. If you need to remove all tables from the layout, choose the "Clear All" option.

If necessary, change the table's properties by selecting it.

Order type properties contain the following groups:

Appearance:
Font type - changes the font of the table title;
Image - you can load your own image for the table in bmp format;
DB Image - you can select a table picture from the preset list. If this field is cleared, only the table number will be displayed on the hall plan without an image.
Text Align - changing the position of the text relative to the table image (bottom edge, center, etc.).

Layout:
In the "Layout" section, you can set the location of the table image relative to the left and bottom margins of the hall plan in pixels.
Left - indentation from the left boundary of the hall plan
Top - indentation from the upper boundary of the hall plan.

Behavior:
Synchronized - if the checkbox is checked, the Visual Type settings of the table in the directory Plans and Tables are automatically copied to the appearance properties of the table in the graphical editor of the hall plan. If the checkbox is not checked, the settings from the graphical interface editor are displayed on the cash register.
Touch Range - allows adjusting the size of the touch area of the table (the screen touch zone where hitting selects the element).
