Extended properties are used to store any information that an administrator wants to save with a given element. Most commonly, extended properties serve as comments or attributes needed for integration with external systems (e.g., for r_k Delivery or r_k Kiosk PRO).

Settings for interaction with external systems through extended properties are configured separately for each system.

Additionally, extended properties are used for report generation. For example, the Payroll by Roles report uses extended properties of employee roles such as: hourly rate, shift rate, revenue share.

Property groups can be of two types:

  1. Properties for orders— used when creating orders
  2. Properties for references— used when creating directory elements

You can use existing (preset) element properties or create custom properties.
