Penalties

A penalty is a monetary penalty for an employee, for example, for being late or for not working enough hours. A penalty can be assessed as a fixed amount, can be calculated based on the number of hours worked, or can be created using manual input.
List of penalties and methods of their calculation:

  1. Manual penalties — assigned to the employee manually at the cash register. The employee's name, penalty amount and comment are entered manually at the cash register in the Awards Rewards / Penalties form.
  2. Fixed penalties — the penalty amount is fixed, the assignment methods are manual or automatic. An automatic fine is configured through Usage and will be assigned to the employee registered at the cash register, unless other conditions are specified in the Usage.
  3. Penalties for being late – a penalty is assigned to a late employee automatically when registering at the cash register (working hours are set using the parameters Start of work shift and Duration of shift). The penalty is set for a certain time interval and a certain amount can be set for each penalty with an interval.

Example: An employee who is late by 10-30 minutes is assigned penalty No. 1 in the amount of 300 rubles, and an employee who is late by 30-60 minutes is assigned penalty No. 2 in the amount of 600 rubles, etc. If no additional conditions are set in the use, the penalty will be assigned to all registered employees.

4. Penalties for time worked — a penalty is assigned automatically to restaurant employees registered at the cash register, unless other conditions (role or employee) are specified in the usage. The amount of such a fine is fixed. The penalty is assigned based on the time worked within the shift (configured using the parameters Start of the work shift and Duration of the shift).

Example: If an employee works less than 8 hours (arrives late or leaves early), they will be subject to a penalty for unworked time (less worked time). However, if the employee completes the required 8-hour shift, no penalty will be imposed.
