The object of accounting in the warehouse is goods. All reports of the enterprise are built based on the list of goods.
All the goods registered in the goods movement documents, production documents, as well as in the accounting documents of the enterprise — raw and other materials, semi-finished products used in the production process, finished goods and services — must be listed in the Goods dictionary. Entering the goods into the dictionary means creating a goods card for it. Thus, for each good item of the enterprise, there should be a card in the Goods dictionary.
Goods catds are created manually or imported from the r_keeper manager station. Only the cards of ready products listed in the menu are imported. Cards for all other goods are manually created.
The list of raw and other materials, necessary for the enterprise operation, is most conveniently determined on the basis of technological cards of ready products. So, if goods have different packaging, different manufacturers, different purchase prices, but their use in production is the same, then these goods should be combined into one goods item. For example, Parmalat milk 6% 1l and Valio milk 6% 0.2l should be combined into one goods item — Milk 6%. Different packaging of goods can be recorded on the UOM tab of the goods card.
The Goods dictionary has a hierarchical, i.e. tree-like structure.
Tops of the tree are represented by goods groups, which are usually formed at the very beginning of work with StoreHouse 5. Root tops are the tops that are not included in other goods groups. Root tops are used to define the paths for import from r_keeper 7. The default root tops are Goods and Restaurant Menu.
Goods are created by users at the start of the system.
The Restaurant menu is created by the QushMan.exe application when setting up menu import.
Find the image of the Goods dictionary below. In the left part of the window there is a tree of goods groups, in the right part of the window there are goods belonging to the selected goods group.
When forming goods groups, it should be taken into account that reports are usually generated by goods groups and/or goods categories. Therefore, by combining goods into one goods group, you can get total balances and other reporting data for it. At any level of the goods dictionary, there can be both goods groups and individual goods.
One r_keeper database corresponds to one root top of the Restaurant Menu. If several r_keeper databases are simultaneously maintained in one StoreHouse database — i.e., data is downloaded from several r_keeper databases — then you should create as many Restaurant Menu root tops as there are r_keeper databases processed in the StoreHouse database.
