Since version r_k Waiter 4.9.530, biometric authentication has been available within the application.
This type of login can only be used when personal smartphones are employed.
In order to enable biometric authentication:
- In the Manager Station r_keeper under Service > Plugin configurations for Mobile Waiter plugin, activate the Allow Biometrics Usage setting.
- Afterwards, in your waiter's Personal Account under Additional Settings, turn on the Biometry option (by default it is disabled).
Next, you need to verify your identity (either fingerprint verification or facial parameters check will take place). - Upon successful verification, this parameter will become active.
From then on, the biometric reading prompt will always appear as default in the authorization window.
However, users may at any time opt out of biometric entry and revert to standard code-based access by dismissing the biometric request window.
If the biometric input window was dismissed, it can be restored using the additional Biometry button.
To disable biometric authentication on the device, navigate to the Additional Settings under waiter's Personal Account and deactivate the Biometry option. This action will display the "Disable Biometry" window asking for identity confirmation. Upon successful identity validation, the parameter will be turned off.
