Common modifier

A common modifier can be added to any menu item. There can be several common groups.

To configure:

  1. Create a modifier group and modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the properties of the modifier group, check the "Common modifier" checkbox. The group icon will change to

Mandatory modifier

A dish can be linked to mandatory modifiers (you must select a modifier from the group) and optional ones (without limitation on choice).

To configure mandatory modifiers:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the modifier scheme properties, select the modifier group (a list of rules for working with the group at the cash register will open on the right) and specify the Lower Limit (minimum quantity).
At the cash register, the group of mandatory modifiers is highlighted in red, and the optional ones are highlighted in white.
If a mandatory modifier is attached to a menu item, then without selecting a modifier you cannot proceed to editing the next menu item (unless the "Set mandatory modifiers later" option is enabled).

Several identical modifiers for 1 dish

You can add several identical modifiers to one portion of a dish.

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the modifier properties, specify the quantity in the "Max In One dish" property. For example, a maximum of 5 portions of the "Vanilla Syrup" modifier can be added to a dish.

At the cash register it looks like this.

Tangible/Intangible Modifiers

Modifiers can be:

  • intangible – these are not tracked in terms of inventory control within r_keeper StoreHouse (e.g., comments on dishes such as "in one plate").
  • tangible – these require inventory control due to their physical nature (e.g., sauces like mayonnaise, sour cream, etc.).

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. Specify the weight in the modifier properties.

The weight of the modifier is a relative value and has no relation to the physical quantity “weight”, measured in grams or kilograms.

If weight = 0, then the modifier is immaterial, if weight = 1, then it is material.

Maximum number of different modifiers for 1 dish

You can limit the maximum total number of modifiers that can be selected from all groups in a scheme (the weights of all used modifiers are added up and the sum is compared to the value in the menu item's "Modifier Weight" property).

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the menu item properties with the modifiers scheme, specify the weight.

If weight = 0, then there is no limit on the total number of modifiers.

Replacing the name of a menu item

It is possible to add a modifier with a name input, which replaces the name of the menu item. For example, it can be used to sell menu items that are not on the menu.

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the modifier properties, check the "Input Name" and "Replace Name" checkboxes, "Save In Receipt".

At the cash register, when adding a modifier, a form for entering its name appears. The order shows the names of both the modifier and the menu item. When printing, the modifier name replaces the menu item name.

Print modifier name next to dish name

The modifier name is printed on the guest bill/receipt after the dish name, separated by colon ":", on one line.

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the modifier properties, check the "Add to name" and "Save In Receipt" checkboxes.

At the cash register it looks like this.

2 modifier schemes for 1 dish

A menu item can have 2 modifier schemes: one is specified in the menu item properties "modifier scheme", the second - in the property of the category to which the menu item belongs. Modifier groups of two schemes will be available at the cash register simultaneously. First, the groups from the scheme specified in the category are displayed.

To configure:

  1. Create modifiers in the standard way.
  2. In the properties of the category (Menu - Classifications) that the menu item belongs to, specify the scheme.

The modifier scheme will be available for all menu items in the category.
