Tariffing is used to price services such as bowling or billiards. The tariffs may be based on an hourly rate, a per-minute charge, or a one-time payment.
The "Use Tariffing" parameter must be enabled. The employee must have the "Add Tariffing to Order" and "Tariffing" rights.
If the "Additions allowed" parameter is set to "Prohibit", then you cannot add pricing to a previously created order.
To set up a new tariff, you need to specify one operational rules (at least one detailing) and link it to either a virtual or physical billable device (such as pool tables, bowling lanes, etc.).
The parameters "Tarification: Warning time before end" and "Tarification: End warning text" configure the messages sent to the waiter when working with tariffication.
To enable tariffication, the service must be linked to billable devices. For instance, if during table service guests have the option to play pool, the necessary number of pool tables should be added on the Floor Plans and Tables page under billable Devices in the directory.
Each billable device is associated with a specific tariff, which defines the unit of measurement for the service (hourly, per minute, or one-time fee), as well as the rates applicable under different conditions.
Rate variations based on conditions (period, category and type of order, table, non-payer type, and detailing method) are reflected in the tariff details. These tariff details are arranged according to priorities. The leftmost (topmost) tariff detail should be the default selection without any conditions.
After enabling tariffication, a line item with the name of the tariff detail and a continuously updated tariffication amount will be added to the order. If the order conditions change and no longer match the current detail, subsequent priority details will be considered until reaching the "Default" detail.
An order with enabled tariffication cannot be paid. Additionally, a guest bill cannot be printed for such an order.
A completed tariffication in an order appears identical to a regular menu item.
Multiple tariffications, each initiated on different devices, can be added to a single order, where the ordering table can be either a regular table or a billable device.
Tariffication can be transferred from one order to another.
For example, two groups of guests are being served at tables A1 and A2, who decided to play pool together. To account for the resource "Pool," tariffication was activated on device B1 and added to order A1. During the game, the guests decided that players at table A2 would cover the cost. To reflect this, the waiter performs the "Change Order" operation for the tariffication, transferring it to order A2.
The billable device for tariffication can be changed.
Considering the previous example, let's assume that the surface of the pool table did not meet the guests' expectations, and they requested to move the game to another table. To reflect this change, the waiter performs the "Switch Device" operation to device B2. Afterward, the tariffication line for device B1 in the order acquires the status of completed tariffication, and a new line with tariffication for B2 is added.
If the billable device is linked to a logical device, its interface needs to be added to the server, and the logical device should be placed on the Tarificators page of the workstation.
Tariffication can be paused and then resumed after the pause. The total tariffication time does not include the duration of the pause.
