Full-service entertainment centers such as water parks, game zones, and bathhouses can utilize the Entrance Card technology where all orders placed by guests during their visit are consolidated into a single session.

Upon arrival, guests receive a magnetic card, wristband, or other carrier which employees register in the system every time they create new orders for the guest. Thus, all orders are combined into one visit. At exit from the entertainment center, all visit orders will be presented as a cumulative order—each individual order highlighted separately, based on which payment calculations are made. Payment for the order can either occur immediately following its creation or later when finalizing the visit.

This mode requires specific settings adjustments in the r_keeper Manager Station. For detailed information about setup and working with entrance cards, refer to the article Setting up Entrance Cards.

Two options for handling visits are supported in r_k Waiter:

  1. Entrance Card Lite — In this mode, there is no access to edit previously created visit orders. Each newly created order is added to the visit, while managing visits (editing and paying) remains accessible exclusively via cash registers.
  2. Entrance Card Pro — Here, typical work with the visit order list becomes possible. Visit payments remain restricted solely to cash registers.

Enabling the Mode

To switch to Entrance Card mode:

  1. Launch the app and log in.
  2. Navigate to the settings page.
  3. Select Administrator Settings section and provide administrator password.
  4. Choose Work Mode > Entrance Card Lite or Pro.

Working in Entrance Card Mode

  1. Log in to the app.
  2. To start working, scan the guest's card or bracelet by pressing Scan button.
Reading Mifare chip-equipped cards/bracelets using NFC technology is supported.
  3. When registering a bracelet, the presence of a visit record on the cash register is checked:

    • if there's none, a new visit is automatically created.

    • if a visit already exists:

      • In Lite mode, a new order for this visit opens right away, allowing regular editing methods.

      • In Pro mode, the visit's order list appears. You can either create new orders or modify existing ones using standard means.

Creating a New Order for a Visit

When creating a new order for a visit:

  • The number of guests isn't specified. By default, the order always contains 1 guest in the Entrance Card mode, so the usual functionality related to guests in the order doesn't apply.
  • The order displays a field showing the spending limit per visit. If adding a menu item does not exceed the limit, the sum is displayed in green font. As soon as the total exceeds the limit, the amount turns negative and shows red color.

  • Check-in, transfer order, and split-check operations are unavailable for the order.

After sending the order:
 - In Lite mode, the app switches back to scanning screen.
 - In Pro mode, the app returns to the visit's order list.

Order List Mode

The visit's order list is available only in Entrance Card Pro mode.

On the order list:

  • You can view all created orders.
  • Unpaid orders can be edited. Orders paid on departure or with guest bill cannot be modified; their buttons are inactive.
  • The overall visit amount is shown in the order list mode.

Payment and closure of the visit are only possible at the r_keeper cash register.

  • No labels
