Logistics
One of the main tasks of an inventory management system is planning the provision of necessary goods for production. However, this provisioning must occur in quantities that do not overstock warehouses.
In r_k StoreHouse Pro, procurement planning is allocated to a separate block – «Logistics»
The main goals of this functionality are:
Calculate a production plan for N days in advance.
Provide a list of ingredients and their quantities required to fulfill this plan.
Select a list of suppliers who can optimally fulfill the orders.
Create and send orders to suppliers, track their fulfillment statuses.
Generate delivery notes based on fulfilled orders.
The operating principle is based on creating production and procurement plans. To create these plans, rules need to be defined.
The rules specify: the planning horizon in days, the rule for selecting the order quantity for goods (minimum/maximum stock level), and the enterprises.
Next, based on requests and previous sales, a production plan for N days in advance is formed. This plan can be adjusted manually.
Based on the production plan, a procurement plan with the same planning horizon is created. The procurement plan automatically calculates the quantity of ingredients required for orders.
This quantity is formed based on data about minimum/maximum stock levels, daily balances, planned expenditure, and previously placed orders. The list of goods for ordering can be filtered and grouped.
Based on the procurement plan, supplier orders are created. Orders can have different statuses. Orders can be sent by email and exported to XLSX.
And based on the orders, receipt notes are created.
To work with this functionality, use the "Logistics" item in the main "Service" menu.
